This privacy policy applies to the Terra9 application for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Nine North Lake (collectively, the "Application"). Nine North Lake is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".

To provide a comprehensive farm management and traceability experience, the Application collects information when you download, register, and use it. This information includes:

Account Information: Your name, email address, and login credentials when you create an ecosystem enthusiast or farmer profile.

Agricultural & Traceability Data: Farm management inputs, harvest tracking metrics, and data related to the 'adopt-a-tree' program.

Automatically Collected Data: Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, mobile operating system, time and date of visits, and time spent on specific pages within the Application.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
The Service Provider uses the collected information to:

Facilitate the 'adopt-a-tree' connections between coffee ecosystem enthusiasts and farmers.

Provide accurate farm management and agricultural traceability tools.

Improve, troubleshoot, and maintain the Application's performance.

Send important notices, required updates, and, where permitted by law, marketing communications.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality and analytics. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
4. Third-Party Access
The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies regarding data handling. The Service Provider may share aggregated, anonymized data with external services to improve the Application.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information as required by law, to protect legal rights or user safety, or with trusted service providers who work on their behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
5. Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider retains personal data based on its necessity for the stated purposes:

User Provided Data: Retained for the duration of your use of the Application plus 12 months thereafter, unless longer retention is required by law.

Aggregated Data: Retained indefinitely as it no longer identifies you.
6. Data Deletion and User Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data and account held by the Service Provider. To request deletion of your farm profile, 'adopt-a-tree' data, or entire account, please contact the Service Provider at we.truenorth@gmail.com. Upon verification, the Service Provider will delete your personal data from its systems, except where retention is required for legal compliance.
7. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. 8. International Data Transfers
The Service Provider or its third-party services may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider applies appropriate mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or user consent.

The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 16 has provided personal information, it will be immediately deleted. 10. Security and Breach Notification
The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information processed and maintained. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of any material changes by the posting of the updated Privacy Policy with a new effective date.
