A Journey of Cultivation
The roots of our coffee journey begin with my dad, Duke. He was already cultivating coffee on his own farm, learning the soil and laying the groundwork long before I joined him. When I returned from the US five years ago, I looked at the aging palm trees on our land and knew it was time for a change. I didn't want to continue the cycle of traditional palm farming. I wanted to build upon my dad's foundation to create something more sustainable, biodiverse, and meaningful for our community.
Located in Sra Khao village, Lamae District, we transformed those old agricultural plots into a thriving estate dedicated to producing premium Robusta. In late 2025, our commitment to this new path was officially recognized when we became a Certified Community Enterprise under the name Lamae Hills Coffee.
Today, we are driven by continuous refinement. By experimenting with traditional natural processes and anaerobic fermentation for both our natural and honey coffees, we consistently push the boundaries to achieve fine Robusta quality.
The Hands Behind the Harvest
Nine North Lake is guided by a small, deeply invested family team. Founded by Teddee and co-founded by Jay, we combine hands-on agricultural labor with digital innovation—building custom software and traceability tools to manage our farm efficiently.
We live and work directly on the estate, sharing our daily routines with family and our loyal rescued estate dogs—including Bear, our guardian mix, and Tilly, a 100% local Thai dog who navigates the farm with us. Every step of our process is managed personally, bridging modern agricultural tech with traditional care for the soil.
Rooted in Community
Our mission extends beyond our own family farm. We are officially registered as the Lamae Hills Coffee Community Enterprise, a status that anchors our goal to collect and process premium coffee cherries from local Lamae District growers. By ensuring fair practices and fostering long-term care for the land, we want our community to thrive alongside our estate. With initiatives like our upcoming Terra9 app and the 'adopt-a-tree' program, we are building a bridge between coffee enthusiasts and the hardworking farmers who cultivate their daily cup.
